Nashville Mayor, John Cooper, has cancelled Nashville’s longstanding celebration of Independence day for 2020 to supposedly protect us from COVID-19.
The VisitMusicCity website reports there will be a limited fireworks display, but outdoor spectators are not allowed – you must watch the fireworks on TV or online, at home.
In the past couple weeks, Nashville and other cities have allowed thousands of protesters to march despite executive orders banning large gatherings.
We shouldn’t have to protest to celebrate July 4th, but that’s exactly what we plan to do. Join us on Saturday, July 4th, 2020 on lower Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee.
